Our first success

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As CHIU’s Ambassador, it is both my honor and pleasure to share with you, CHIU’s first major success (since the official launch).

Through the interactive feedback platform provided by CHU, Singapore National Heart Center (NHC) has successful incorporate local product and service requirements into Agfa HealthCare’s industry leading cardiology informatics suite – IMPAX Cardiovascular.

This gesture has not only enabled NHC to incorporate their requirements into the Agfa’s offering but also regional clinical best practices into the solution, resulting not only a more robust cardiology informatics solution from Agfa Healthcare and a satisfied customer but the ability for adopters of IMPAX Cardiovascular (both globally and within Asia Pacific) to provide better patient care while achieving clinical effectiveness while saving cost.

Again, I applaud both NHC and Agfa HealthCare on their success. May CHIU continues to help ‘raise the bar’ in the adoption and implementation of Healthcare Informatics in the region.

The national referral centre for cardiovascular disease in Singapore, NHC provides comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative cardiac services to local and overseas patients. NHC has a 186-bed capacity, with more than 9,000 inpatient admissions annually. Its multi-disciplinary team of professionals carry out approximately 80,000 outpatient consultations, 75,000 cardiac investigative procedures and over 1,700 operations annually.
