CHIU’s Official Launch

The much awaited official launch of CHIU – the Committee of Healthcare Informatics for Asia took place on the 19th October 2008 at Hanoi, Vietnam.

 

Aimed at representing Physicians, Paramedical Professionals, IT professionals, Biomedical Engineers and professionals in related disciplines, CHIU’s mission statement is to ‘raise the bar’ in the adoption and implementation of Healthcare Informatics through active intellectual participation, collaboration as well as the promotion of knowledge exchange and ongoing vendor neutral educational activities of our members via its online platform.

 

The inaugural launch was co-sponsor by IBM, our technology partner for Vietnam and graced with delegates from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Vietnam, including representatives from both the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Defense.

 

The successful launch symbolizes only the start of a great initiative and to ensure its continuous success, we have organized a series of educational initiatives like articles, whitepapers, webex session from both Agfa HealthCare as well as our technology partners.
